Brit Awards 2004

What treasures do we have to look forward to this year?

Duets between Beyoncé and Outkast and Katie Melua and Jamie Cullum. Surely Jamie grooving with Andre and Big Boi and Beyoncé teaching Katie how to be Bootylicious would be far more worthwhile?

The mute button will be firmly pressed on my remote control during the performances by The Darkness, 50 Cent, Black Eyed Peas and Muse, with the same applying to Busted’s ‘very unusual performance’ which I’m sure will be extraordinary as ever.

In fact, once I’ve seen Gwen, Alicia and Missy crushing the competition performance-wise and Will picking up his award for Best Male, I might well be switching off. Let Will or other talented popsters have a turn on stage and maybe there’d be a different story altogether.
