When your song unexpectedly becomes a huge viral hit, you have a big decision to make: You can continue to build up your career and have faith that the record deal offers will remain on the table, or sign up quick in case the moment passes. Smallpools took the latter option, and signed to RCA before they had even played their first gig. The American indie-pop group formed earlier this year and only posted their first song online in May. The track, entitled Dreaming, shot straight to no.1 on Hype Machine, and now it's set for release as part of an EP. Their sound is very American, similar to Passion Pit meets Fall Out Boy, but Dreaming has a great energy and momentum which could make it a radio hit worldwide.
