This week marks the return of 2 brilliant female-fronted pop acts, Camera Obscura and The Sounds.
Camera Obscura have unveiled a new song, My Maudlin Career, which continues the sweet, dreamy indie-pop sound of their last album. It is the title track of their new album, and you can hear it on their website. It’s unclear whether this will be the lead single, but if it’s not I can’t wait to hear what is!
As for The Sounds, we have a few more days to wait. They will perform a new song (again they haven’t said whether it’s a single) on the American TV show Last Call with Carson Daly on Thursday. The song is called No One Sleeps When I’m Awake, and it comes from the album Crossing The Rubicon, which will be released in May. They are touring with No Doubt in the USA and Fall Out Boy here… if only it were the other way around!
