I first heard about Zara Larsson late last year, but in fact she's been famous in Sweden since she was just 10 years old. She won Talang 2008, the Swedish version of Britain's Got Talent. Now 15, she is a big star across Scandinavia thanks to her debut EP Uncover, including the title track which hit no.1 in Sweden and Norway. Her sound isn't cheesy, like you might expect for an artist of her age, and Uncover has been compared to a Rihanna ballad. Zara is signed to TEN, the record label which launched Erik Hassle and Icona Pop, and thanks to their deal with Sony Music she recently earned a US record deal. The anticipation for a Swedish teen star who could be the next Britney, or at least the next Robyn, is high, with Sony A&R Candece Campbell tweeting several links to Zara's videos.
