Since I’ve Been Gone

I didn’t have Internet at home for the last few days, so I haven’t been able to post anything. Several things have built up which I want to inform you of, so here they are, handily compiled into one post!

Ke$ha’s first single
Apparently it is going to be a song called Dolla, which is quite fitting considering the spelling of her name. I wasn’t sure at first but as the song gets going it gets really good. I don’t know if it’s going to be a hit, because it’s a bit messy, but it’s very interesting and I like the direction she’s going. It’s a fabulous blend of electro-pop and R&B, but I doubt those who generally buy R&B music will go for it so she’ll have to bank on the Lady GaGa crowd. I’m really excited to hear all of the songs she’s made with Dr Luke and (if the rumours are correct) Max Martin.

The Ashley Tisdale album
I’ve been listening to the new album, Guilty Pleasure, quite a lot recently, and I would like to make it known that it is one of the best pop albums of the year so far. It’s certainly the best album by a Disney star I’ve ever heard, unless you count the Mickey Mouse Club alumni. Unlike Miley and the Jo-Bros, Ashley has been allowed to sing pop music which is of the same standard as European pop stars. I don’t know where they get the songs they give to the Jo-Bros, but I just can’t see why a band who earn their record company so much money can’t be given a few decent songs. Luckily, Ashley has been given a whole album’s worth, and I fully recommend it!

There was something else but I’ve forgotten. I’ll let you know if I remember!

  1. I think Dolla song will be a hit considering it’s similarity, like you said, to Lady Gaga, because electropop is huge this year.
I still have to listen to ashley album but it looks good from what you said
