Future Stars: New Politics (Sony RCA)

It's weird to predict someone will be a one-hit wonder before they even have a hit, but Danish electro-rock band New Politics are a confusing prospect. I think their single Harlem could be huge, and support tours with P!nk and Fall Out Boy will help, but they seem too annoying to have longevity. They got their record deal in 2009 (after which they moved to New York) and had some success with the Sum 41-esque single Yeah Yeah Yeah. The new music is still punky but more electro (Harlem reminds me of LCD Soundsystem), and they've toned down the embarrassing dance moves a little bit, but lead singer David Boyd still comes across like a dad trying to be cool.
