Just like indie-R&B, the female rapper trend is also missing a British representative. That role should rightfully go to the brilliant Lady Leshurr, who is the highlight of every track she features on, such as Boring Bitches and Blazin'. However, her ascent has been delayed by the fact she's determined to do things her own way. The Birmingham-born underground rapper even turned down a deal with Atlantic US because she didn't like their plan to pit her against other girls like Nicki Minaj. It could turn out to be the worst decision of her life, but if anyone has the star quality to make it on their own terms, it's Lady Leshurr.
