Future Stars: James Newman (Unsigned)

Born with a boring name, James Newman picked James Valentine as his pop pseudonym. However, when his younger brother John became famous, he quickly changed it back. Could the Newmans be the new Bedingfields? Although John may have had the first hit, James has been working as a singer/songwriter for a few years, released songs with a strangely similar sound to John's music and even has a credit on Rudimental's no.1 Waiting All Night. His breakthrough as a singer could be the new single Silver & Gold (Finder) by Ninetoes, a re-working of an instrumental club hit with James' soulful vocals added. You'll undoubtedly recognise it when you hear it, and it's a clever idea to add a catchy melody on top to appeal to a mainstream audience.
