Dirrrty Pop Meets… Adiam Dymott!

I did a little interview with Sweden’s acest new popstar – here it is:

Your parents are Eritrean, but you grew up in Sweden. Do you think your African heritage influences your music?
Of course! Everything about me and everything around me influences my music.

What are your favourite and least favourite things about living in Stockholm?
My favourite thing about Stockholm is Cosmos, the studio we´ve been working in, and my family. And my least favourite thing is the cold.

Who are your personal favourite Swedish bands or singers?
Mapei, Mando Diao and Dundertåget.

Which artists, Swedish or otherwise, would you most like to work with in the future?
Right now, I like a Swedish group called Dundertåget.

Do you plan to release your music or tour in the UK in 2009?
I hope so. My husband´s family is from the UK so I would love to release something there.

What is going to be your second single after Miss You?
I´m still trying to get used to calling it a single… so I haven’t decided yet!

You were making music for a long time before you got signed to Razzia Records, so what is your advice for anyone who is waiting for their own big break?
I guess hard work and try to surround yourself with serious people.

Thanks Adiam! Here’s a recent performance of Miss You so you can see what all the fuss is about:
