Christian pop is typically quite poor compared to mainstream pop, but the genre does occasionally produce some real gems. The last Christian pop artist to achieve UK success was Stacie Orrico, briefly in the early 2000s, but I think Britt Nicole could be next. Her latest single Gold is extremely infectious with an uplifting message, in fact it's one of my favourite songs of the year. If radio stations are looking for the next Call Me Maybe or Ready Or Not, this is it. And Christians rapping is always funny! Gold has been in the US Shazam chart for several weeks and is doing well on the radio and Billboard charts.
