I first met Arlissa Ruppert a few years ago when she auditioned for a project I was working on, but I'd totally forgotten about her since then and was surprised to see her reappear as one of the reborn London Records' first signings. They've got quite a coup by getting Nas on her first single Hard To Love Somebody, which has already passed 55,000 views in one week. There are clearly high hopes for Arlissa as she has been working with many top producers and songwriters. Although the Nas collaboration would suggest she's an R&B artist, she performed some other solo songs at the BT Olympic gig in Hyde Park the other day which are more in the vein of Florence and the Machine!
