This Must Be Pop Live: The line-up is complete!

Last week I announced the return of This Must Be Pop Live, and two of this month’s three performers, Tich and Rixton. Joining them at Queen of Hoxton on 22nd January will be…

BEBE BLACK!

Bebe

Bebe Black has been compared to artists ranging from Florence and the Machine and Adele to Santigold and La Roux, thanks to her eclectic sound, which mixes retro ’60s influences, electro-pop and fantastic vocals. You may have heard her on the 2012 single Icon by her Columbia labelmate Benga, and seen her throwing herself out of an aeroplane for the video.

Bebe is now preparing to release her debut album, but before that we’ll get a taste of what’s to come with her Deathwish EP, released on 21st January. I was lucky enough to get a preview of the tracks and I was extremely impressed with the three new songs: the dark electro of Deathwish, heart-wrenching piano ballad Don’t Leave Me and the catchy quirky pop of Bones. I can’t wait to hear them performed live at This Must Be Pop Live!
