This Must Be Pop Live: 18th September 2012

After the success of this week‘s TMBP Live, I’m now very excited about September’s show. The gig will take place at the Queen of Hoxton on 18th September, and today I can announce the first of the performers…

Danish singer Nabiha Bensouda has had huge hits across Europe with tracks such as Deep Sleep, Trouble and my 2nd favourite single of 2010, The Enemy. Not only that, but her latest single Never Played The Bass (which has gone gold in Denmark) is currently no.2 in the urban chart and no.3 in the club chart in the UK according to Music Week.

But it’s not just Nabiha’s stats which are impressive, her music is too. Her songs are super-catchy retro soul pop, and she’s collaborated with top writers and producers from Scandinavia and the UK. Check out the brilliant Never Played The Bass below… but beware, it will be stuck in your head for the rest of the week!
