Norwegian-Indian singer Samsaya released a very poptastic single, Stereotype, in 2013, but none of her other tracks have captured its brilliance. Beginning at the End isn’t a chaotic, bouncy tune like Stereotype, but it may be even better in its own way. It’s a pop-R&B mid-tempo in the tradition of Shontelle, Jordin or Leona, which would seem dated if this wasn’t such a well-constructed, shining example of the genre. We could do with more effortlessly warm and infectious songs like this at the moment, so thank you Scandinavia for delivering, as always.
