Enrique Iglesias and Ricky Martin both released several hit albums in Spanish before they sang in English and achieved mainstream success, and Prince Royce is hoping to do the same. Born Geoffrey Royce Rojas in New York to Dominican parents, his music is influenced by the traditional Dominican genre, bachata. He just released his third Spanish album (and third US Latin chart no.1), which included a duet with Selena Gomez and two more songs entirely in English. RCA recently announced they had signed Prince Royce for his English-language debut album, to be launched in 2014.
