If you like new songs that sound genuinely old (Haim, Music Go Music, Jessie Ware, La Roux etc.) then you should check out Los Angeles band Pr0files and their lovely new single – both the original and the beautiful live demo version. Pr0files are a duo made up of singer Lauren Pardini and producer Danny Sternbaum. They make sweet, classy electro-pop, with previous single Luxury also worth a listen. In Forgive, Lauren’s emotional vocals shine through the synth-heavy production, and you can’t help but want to belt along to the moving, infectious chorus. If it was released 30 years ago, it would have been a karaoke classic now.
