Future Stars: Mikill Pane (Mercury Records)

Mikill Pane is a charismatic, entertaining British rapper who has already proven to have crossover appeal, although he's yet to have a chart hit. He first became known outside of the rap scene when he appeared on Ed Sheeran's pre-Atlantic EP No.5 Collaborations Project. Mikill's song Little Lady (an alternative version of The A Team) ended up outperforming tracks featuring Wiley, Devlin and Wretch 32. Since then Mikill (whose name isn't actually Mikill or even Michael, but Justin!) has signed to Mercury and is now touring with Rizzle Kicks. His best moment for me, however, is on Jin Jin and the Ragdolls' Cashpoint Drama. A few more like that and he could be huge in 2013.
