Megan Nicole is one of many YouTube artists being launched on major US record labels at the moment, and I'm very interested to see which acts succeed. Is it the ones with the biggest online following or the acts who have the best music and pop star potential? Megan Nicole is a sweet, likeable teen pop princess, but her new single Summer Forever couldn't be more "pop by numbers." It's cute but incredibly generic. However, Austin Mahone is gradually breaking through with the male equivalent, so she could do the same with clever marketing.
