When Leah McFall failed to win The Voice in 2013, will.i.am threw a strop and threatened to quit the show, effectively making him the new Pete Waterman. Personally, I always saw Leah as another Aiden Grimshaw or Diana Vickers: an affected talent show interpretation of innovative quirky pop music. However, I’m always willing to give a pop artist another chance, and Will (who produced and features on her debut single) has managed to prove that Leah does have a powerful voice. Home is a strong, creative and catchy pop song. With the association to The Voice, the UK might not go for it, but with Will’s endorsement I could see Home being a hit in Europe.
I love this song! Thank you so much for introducing me to Leah!
