Le Youth is the pseudonym of LA producer Wes James, and Cool is his brilliant new single. It samples Me & U by Cassie and it's as good as, if not better than, the original. Currently the song features in the UK Shazam top 10 and has nearly 300,000 Soundcloud plays. Ultra bought the rights to release Cool after it became an online hit. Le Youth continues Daft Punk's trend of combining disco-pop production with American R&B vocals. Get Lucky may have preceded 2013's brief period of sunshine, but Cool arrives just on time, right in the middle of it.
