If Diana Vickers was cooler and darker, her music might sound like Indiana. This Nottingham singer has the same quirky tone, but instead of affected kookiness, her sound is sparse and haunting. Personally, I'd like some more catchy hooks, but I appreciate that she's doing something interesting. Her new single Smoking Gun is currently featured on Radio 1's In New Music We Trust playlist and she'll be playing the BBC Introducing Stage at Glastonbury this weekend. When the Queen visited Radio 1, she represented BBC Introducing's musical discoveries by duetting with The Script for her majesty. She's also a very creative girl, with her own clothing line Some Kind of Nature, which she often wears in her music videos and live performances.
