MNEK has been lining up for his big moment as an artist for years, and the new single by Gorgon City, on which he features, might just be it. Radio 1's music policy director Nigel Harding predicted that Ready For Your Love would be a future no.1 and I'm inclined to agree. It's a huge grower, although, as with a lot of dance music, I prefer the verses to the chorus. Gorgon City are a duo of producers who were first signed to cool independent label Black Butter and released singles with Yasmin and Clean Bandit. Virgin EMI got involved and there are now plans to release their debut album as a joint venture between the two labels next year.
