There are so many glitchy electro-R&B-pop songs on Soundcloud now, if I had been offered the chance to never hear another one, I’d have happily taken it. But that would have been a mistake, as I never would have discovered this new single from one of Australia’s biggest producers, Flume. Never Be Like You is a great example of this mini-genre. It’s catchy and expertly constructed in lyrics, melody and production. It features Canadian female singer Kai, who has previously collaborated with Skrillex and Diplo, but is yet to release her own debut single. After this track gained nearly 5 million plays in 2 weeks on Soundcloud, there should be quite some interest.
