Future Stars: DJ Snake (Columbia)

There are a few different places you might have heard of DJ Snake, depending on your taste in music. Most interesting to me, he co-wrote three of Lady Gaga’s strongest ARTPOP tracks: Applause, Do What You Want and Sexxx Dreams. However, the French DJ is also known for his own music, which is less poptastic but certainly popular. His first single Bird Machine was released by Diplo’s label Mad Decent and was supported by Radio 1, while his new release Turn Down For What (featuring Lil Jon, who surprisingly still exists!) is whooshing up the US Shazam chart. I couldn’t even listen to it through in full, but with connections to such varied big names as Diplo and Lady Gaga, DJ Snake has to be one to watch.
