You might not know her, but Ms. D has already had a no. 1 hit. She featured on Heatwave by Wiley, which was no.1 in 2012, and she appeared uncredited on Chipmunk’s Oopsy Daisy back in 2009. Since then Ms. D (real name Dayo Olatunji) co-wrote Iggy Azalea’s Bounce, and been signed by Iggy's management, Turn First. Last week, Ms D. unveiled her first solo track, Shoot Me With The Truth. The style is quite different to her urban hits, more comparable to a quirky, conceptual track from a Beyoncé or Rihanna album. I'm interested to see how she's positioned within the current music scene, as she hasn’t immediately aligned herself with any genre or trend. Shoot Me is a striking debut and I am very intrigued to hear more.
