1. Max Martin wrote one of the songs on rock band Bullet For My Valentine’s latest album. It is certainly not Max’s best, but I’m sure it’s a great deal better than BFMV can usually come up with. He also did a song with cello-playing metal-heads Apocalyptica and it was even worse, but at least no-one can say Max doesn’t share his talents around within the music world.
2. Three songs on kooky country singer Jason Downs’ second album (released in ’04) were Xenomania productions, and they are all brilliant! I always quite liked his song White Boy With a Feather and I’m excited to add to my electro-country-pop playlist, which previously only contained Robots in Love by Beautiful Small Machines. It’s my new favourite pop genre!
