Future Stars: American Authors (Island Def Jam)

It took American Authors seven years and a name change (they were originally The Blue Pages) to get a record deal, but once they did success came quickly. The New York-based indie band were signed last January, and by the end of 2013 had their first big hit. Best Day Of My Life is, as the title suggests, very synch-friendly and has been featured on a Lowe's ad in the US and Hyandai ad in the UK. They had further US TV exposure on The Carrie Diaries and The Voice. I think it's pretty generic but it's certainly radio-friendly, and they have other catchy songs on their EP such as Hit It.
