Following the success of Adele and Ed Sheeran, singer-songwriters are very much back in fashion and anyone with an interesting voice who has written a song (regardless of whether it has any redeeming qualities) could be the next big thing. Ady Suleiman is the latest hyped solo act, a soulful young singer from the Midlands. He cites Amy Winehouse and Michael Kiwanuka as influences, and could be aptly described as a combination of the two. It's not doing much for me at the moment, but with such high praise from music industry types, I'll give him a fair chance and see him live later this month.
