ODESZA are an electro duo from Seattle who made a big impact with their brilliant new song Say My Name. The track is unique and fresh, yet very current and commercial, as it should appeal to the same people who love Clean Bandit. It’s hard to make music which is sunny and sweet while still being cool, but ODESZA have mastered the art in the same way that Clean Bandit have done, along with emerging acts such as Blonde and The Magician. Say My Name is from ODESZA’s second album In Return, released last month. I listened to it after falling in love with Say My Name, and unfortunately it’s mostly instrumentals, but all you need is one hit to break through, and I think they have it. The other collaboration with Say My Name’s featured singer Zyra, It’s Only, is also quite special.
