I've toyed with featuring retro-pop/rocker Willy Moon in Future Pop for months, but the premiere of his debut US video has finally convinced me to do it. Yeah Yeah sounds more like an advert soundtrack (and soon after writing this I discovered it is on a new Apple ad!) than a chart hit but the effort and expense put into the slick, entertaining new video shows he's one to watch. Willy, whose real name is William Sinclair, was born in New Zealand but lives in London, and he is signed jointly to Island and Jack White's label ThirdMan. He's already released a few singles in the UK, but I reckon the US buzz and recent Jools Holland performance could make him a Sound of 2013 contender.
