Three interesting bits of news for you this morning:

1. Last night on American Idol, the mini music video the contestants made had a rather unexpected soundtrack: I’m Good, I’m Gone by Lykke Li! You can watch it here. Not quite up to Lykke’s version but any video containing the beautiful Kris Allen is quite alright with me.

2. Pixie Lott has finally released her first music video! It was actually only ten months ago when I first heard Moma Do, but for some reason it feels like a lot longer. It’s a great song and I’m excited to see how she goes down with the British public, but I really just want to hear the rest of her album now. Let’s hope Moma Do is a hit so she can release it asap.

3. Another new act who I spotted very early on in their career (in fact, I was the first to listen to them on Last FM!) and who are now getting lots of buzz among pop fans are The Yeah Yous. Distressingly, they have still not corrected the apostrophe error in their name, but they have come up with a groovy video for their debut single, Fifteen Minutes. They’re better looking than I expected, too. Hooray!
