Eurovision-related news round-up!

Jessica Garlick is doing as her 2002 Eurovision entry demanded, and making a Come Back! I’m not sure if you can really have a comeback if you’ve only ever had one hit, but I suppose the specifics aren’t that important, since she is sadly not very likely to succeed. The song is nice, but there’s nothing special about it that will make people care, and having Pop Idol and Eurovision in her history is enough of a setback already. It’s nice to see that she’s still making music, though, and I’m sure anyone who liked Come Back will like this too.

In an interview around the time of Melodifestivalen, Shirley Clamp said that her new album would contain English remakes of two of her big hits, Att älska dig and Min kärlek. The album has now been released and you can hear clips of the English versions, now entitled Miracle and My Love Light, on Swedish iTunes or see a live performance of Miracle on YouTube here. Things are going pretty well for Shirley at the moment – her latest single went to no.1, and she’s going to be the commentator for Eurovision in Sweden… but does it make up for her song not even getting to Andra Chansen on MF this year?
