This Must Be Pop Live is back for 2013!

This Must Be Pop Live will return on 22nd January (less than 3 weeks from now!) with a line-up of new artists who I suspect will be performing for huge crowds by the end of the year. I’ll be announcing the performers over the next few days, and first up is…

RIXTON!

I think 2013 is about time for a poptastic instrument playing boyband, and Rixton are the main contenders. Formerly known as Relics they’ve been featured a few times on This Must Be Pop, but only recently started playing live shows. In a short space of time they’ve built up a huge fanbase. Their YouTube channel has so far amassed almost 400,000 views, and they’ve trended several times on Twitter, even though they’re yet to post any original music online.

Check out their covers of some of 2012’s biggest hits on YouTube, and if you like what you hear then come and see them perform live on the 22nd. They’ll be playing some of their own material, including tracks written with one of the best Swedish production teams of the moment, Holter/Erixson.
