You can always tell when an artist is realising their own vision, rather than fitting into a mould created for them, and Queen of Hearts is definitely one of those artists. Previously part of a girl trio called Red Blooded Women, Liz Morphew created Queen of Hearts as her solo pop persona. She defined a new sound and look for herself, and began building a following with frequent gigs and EP releases accompanied with stylish and creative videos and photoshoots.
While Queen of Hearts is yet to take over the charts, she’s carved out a niche for herself and is starting to build buzz internationally. This week she’s in New York to perform at a Neon Gold/All Things Go showcase alongside Alex Winston and Savoir Adore, and she’s got all the right blogs talking about new single Warrior including Arjan Writes and Kick Kick Snare, who called her “a shining beacon of infallible electro-pop”! Warrior will be released in December with a recently-shot video to be revealed soon.
