Priscilla Renea – Dollhouse (Live version)
I only discovered Priscilla a few days ago, but I’m already a bit obsessed! She’s got a great personality which spills over into her music, particularly her lyrics which are well worth paying attention to. She’s recently released an EP, including the brilliant I Fell in Love, but Dollhouse will be her first proper single, the lead single from her new album, Jukebox, which will be released in October. She details all of this at the start of the video I linked to, over a soundtrack of a French r&b song! Dollhouse is really catchy and has a very nice feminist message as well. Priscilla definitely has the likeability factor and this has helped her gain a huge fanbase through her YouTube page.

Future Presidents – The World Keeps Changing (Watch)
It seems to be a trend at the moment for the producers and writers behind some of today’s best pop music to look for a bit more credit for their work. Bloodshy and Avant have recorded an album under the name of Miike Snow, and Anders Hansson has got together with a few talented friends to create Le Kid. Future Presidents are another example, although in this case they are using their production team name as their band name. Previous work has included remixes for Britney, Jordin and Justin, and have worked with many Dutch pop acts, including Elize, Edsilia Rombley and Tess. The World Keeps Changing is a jolly mid-tempo r&b-pop song, reminding me most of Tyler James, which seems fitting as he was a songwriter with Stargate before he became a popstar. It’s not the kind of song that will change the world, but it’s a nice enough soundtrack to watch the world change to.
