After reaching the top 20 with his independently-released debut album, tattoo-covered LA rapper Kid Ink (or Brian Collins, as he’s known to his mum) was snapped up by Sony Music. His second album will be released next year, and he got off to a good start with its first single, Show Me. The track features Chris Brown and samples Show Me Love by Robin S – slowed down and rapped over, it somehow works. I knew it would be a hit on first listen, and sure enough, it’s tumbling up the Billboard and airplay charts. Show Me was produced by DJ Mustard, who is signed to Roc Nation and also responsible for Tyga’s 2012 hit Rack City.
