Jessie Lee Magro is an Australian singer who’s hoping to follow in the footsteps of her country’s biggest pop export, Kylie Minogue. At just eighteen years old, Jessie has recently released her first ever EP, a collection of five catchy pop songs entitled Dreaming.
Despite her young age, Jessie has been singing and writing songs for a decade already. She has a strong pop voice, and a talent for writing catchy melodies, as well as heartfelt lyrics. Her natural abilities were boosted by training at one of Australia’s top music schools, the David Jaanz Singing School, where Delta Goodrem, Gabriella Cilmi and Daniel Merriweather are among the alumni.
Dreaming features a variety of sounds, including the fun, youthful title track, and the emotional ballads Scar and Breakfree. My Life is a rousing mid-tempo with lyrics to inspire self-belief, while We Gotta Change shows Jessie’s eco warrior side with an anthemic chorus.
Jessie is working with a local independent label called Sound of Melbourne, who are helping to spread the word about her music in Australia and around the world. Dreaming is available now to preview on Bandcamp and purchase on iTunes.
