In the UK we have a perception of country as a very conservative genre, but in fact most of the big hits have loads of personality and swagger to spare. Florida Georgia Line are a male duo who recently had a huge country hit with their catchy, anthemic song Cruise. It's now successfully crossing over to the mainstream and currently in the iTunes top 10, thanks to their bold move of releasing a remix featuring fellow car enthusiast Nelly. As both Cruise and Nelly's latest single Hey Porsche channel the Kid Rock/Uncle Kracker vibe, the collaboration is weirdly logical. They should have held off on the autotune, but apart from that it's a clever move which could even work in the UK as a summer novelty hit.
