It seems to be a trend these days for artists to be both Australian and European – Say Lou Lou (Swedish), Gotye (Belgian) and now the French-Australian one-to-watch, Chløë Black. She’s also lived in LA and is now based here in London, where she’s signed to the prestigious Quest management (now part of the merged mega-management firm Maverick). Chløë has previous experience in pop, but was sitting quietly in a corner of the Internet with one great but unnoticed song, I Would Never Die For You, until last week when she made a more official arrival onto the music scene with 27 Club. She could easily be dismissed as another Lana Del Rey/Lorde wannabe, but her strong vocals and quality songwriting should earn her a shot at success. After all, it doesn’t matter how many competitors you have if you're the best of the bunch.
