It’s been 3 years since I featured Becky G here with high hopes for her future, and it’s kind of hard to say whether she’s been a success. She featured on the brilliant Oath by Cher Lloyd, and I enjoyed her catchy 2014 single Shower, but it wasn’t the massive hit that some thought it would be. She’s upped her game again with new single Break a Sweat, an infectious, summery, chant-along tune produced by her super-talented label boss Dr Luke. Until recently, Selena Gomez-lookalike Becky was dating mini-Bieber Austin Mahone, but after using him for a cute video, she is trouncing her ex in the pop star stakes with Break a Sweat.
