By this point, I'm sure you've all seen the latest viral video hit, The Fox by Norwegian TV stars Ylvis. If, like me, you noticed that (apart from the silliness) it's actually quite a good pop song, I have an explanation. The Fox was produced by Stargate! After amassing over 60 million YouTube views in just a few weeks, the record deal offers flooded in and they quickly signed to Warner Music. I don't feel that The Fox has picked up momentum like Gangnam Style (it's more of a 'watch once, laugh and move on' viral video) but it's in the iTunes top 10 in the US and several European countries, suggesting it could do the same here. Radio 1's Head of Music thinks it will be no.1.
