After a brilliant night last Tuesday, This Must Be Pop Live will be back on September 18th with another exciting line-up. Joining Nabiha will be…
THE WOOWOOS!
I was the first blogger to write about The Woowoos back in July 2011 and I’ve been keenly following their career ever since. They are a girl trio who have often been compared to early Sugababes, and their music is cool pop, with references including Massive Attack.
The Woowoos, a.k.a. Nicky, Jess and Alice, released their first single Fizzy Lettuce (video below) last year through indie-electro label Moshi Moshi, following in the footsteps of Florence and the Machine and Lykke Li. They’re now preparing their debut album, to be released through Island, and will be showcasing some of the tracks at This Must Be Pop Live. I’ve heard a few already and can confirm they are very exciting!
