Last night, I went to the Eurovision preview party at the Scala in London. I was unsure whether to go because the line-up didn’t seem that good, but in the end I decided I might as well, and I’m glad I did because it was great fun. Seeing some of this year’s acts, plus a few old favourites (including last year’s fab Euroband), was brilliant, but the best bit for me was later on when they played Temple of Love by BWO and people actually cheered! Oh, to live in a world where people cheer at the sound of BWO. That’s how it should be, really. They also played such greats as Je t’adore by Kate Ryan, The Queen by Velvet, multiple Antique songs, and even the little known but fantastic UK entry, One Step Closer by Bardo!
If you want to read my review of the event, click here. I took some photos and videos so I’ll post them up for you later, when I’ve uploaded them.
I was there too! It was such a good night.
Ukraine was definitely the highlight, although it was nice to see Nicki French sing too.
