Future Stars: Rascals (Parlophone)

Teen rap group Rascals have been around for quite a while already (they got together at age 11 in 2005!) but are finally starting to pick up steam and are likely to be mentioned in many "big for 2013" articles. The current boyband era is in need of its East 17 or Blazin' Squad, and Rascals could certainly be the 2010s equivalent of that. Their lead single Fire Blaze is quite heavy, but still commercial (it would probably appeal to fans of Wretch 32's Tractor), and I had the chance to hear another song they have up their sleeves recently which was much more pop. They'll be performing at this month's Music Week Breakout showcase and an MTV Brand New event, as they are one of the 2013 nominees.
