Majid Jordan is not a solo artist but a Canadian duo called Majid Al Maskati and Jordan Ullman, whose name may or may not have been inspired by AlunaGeorge. They have gone from being unknown to featuring in the iTunes top 10 in the UK, US and Canada within a few weeks, as they produced and feature on Drake's new single. Hold On, We're Going Home marks a new direction for Drake, with a deep house influence that follows current UK music trends (including the trend for vocals that sound like Craig David). Majid Jordan are signed to Drake's Toronto-based label OVO Sound and you can hear their own music in the EP afterhours, originally released under their previous name GOOD People.
