Finland isn’t known for churning out pop masterpieces like its Scandinavian neighbours, but being in such close proximity to the home of ABBA and Max Martin can’t be a bad thing. Electro girl duo LCMDF prove the Finns do have what it takes to a make a truly poptastic tune, and their new single Procrastination 365 has earned them comparisons to one of the great Swedish duos, Icona Pop. It will also appeal to anyone who enjoyed my Song of the Week from a few weeks ago, the euphoric Nightclub Nirvana by Lo-Fi-Fnk. If only Lo-Fi-Fnk were still a duo, I’d suggest they go on a double date, but since the boys recently added a third member it could be a bit awkward.
