Last week history was made: Young Kingz by unsigned rap duo Krept & Konan (also known as Play Dirty) became the first mixtape to reach the UK top 20. Industry insiders and journalists have wondered how they did it, but listening to emotional single My Story, the success makes sense. The song is about the murder of Konan's stepfather by a man who was after Konan himself, and it couldn't be more heart-wrenching. The rappers have also worked hard to build an online following, and the mixtape features Tinie Tempah, Giggs, Chip and George The Poet, just a few of the big names who have supported the project.
