There are some artists who I wish would become more popular so I could feature them in Future Pop. Others I put off for as long as possible, hoping they won't catch on, despite all signs saying they will. Half Moon Run is in the latter category, but now their new single Call Me In The Afternoon is on the Radio 1 A List, I suppose I should introduce them. They are a Canadian band in their early 20s, and their music is pleasant yet forgettable indie-folk. Reading that Mumford & Sons are big fans was no surprise, although they do seem less contrived than the West London banjo boys. Their debut album Dark Eyes was released here last week and I predict it will soon rise into the top ten.
