In 2013, Dannii Minogue was victorious in her first year as a judge on The X Factor Australia with Korean-born singer Dami Im, and Dami has gone on to forge a successful career after her win. She topped the ARIA charts with her single Alive and album Dami Im, but the album was filled with covers. She’s now preparing to release a new album of original material, including the hit single Super Love and her new release Gladiator, which I think is her best yet. It’s a poppy power ballad that could have been a hit for Katy Perry. Australia is churning out so much good pop music at the moment, British and American artists should be paying close attention (and watching their backs).
