The X Factor final is nearly here and there are many rumours going around about what song the winner will release as their single. For ages a Gary Barlow-penned track seemed likely, but now that we have the finalists it’s pretty clear that this won’t be suitable. Damien Rice’s Cannonball has also been rumoured, but I reckon this was only an option for Janet when she was expected to win (I’ll be surprised if it doesn’t turn out that she was in the lead for the first few weeks of voting).
The winner’s single really could be anything this year, so I decided to put forward some suggestions. Here’s what I think the final three contestants should each release if they win:
Little Mix – Don’t Know Why by Soundgirl
Marcus – Upside Down by Paloma Faith
Amelia – The Only Exception by Paramore
